I hate it when I hear people say, "They should ...". Who is this "they"? This is merely a way of opting out. If it does not mean enough to you to do something about it, why should it be a priority for someone else? It is another aspect of the me-myself-and-I culture which started with a sensible attempt at creating a "fair" society.

Fairness is something to which everyone should aspire - achieving it too often then causes people to assume it is their "right".
